Ash Wageman grew up in the small town of Forest City, Iowa. She first used a sewing machine at the age of four while sitting on her grandma’s lap as she worked the foot pedal. Ash is a life-long lover of animals, music, thrifting, and all things crafty. After moving to St. Paul, a friend and recent Minneapolis College graduate introduced her to the Apparel Technologies program. It was meant to be! Ash will be graduating in the spring with her AAS. She is forever thankful for the immense support of her family, friends, and partner, as well as her wonderful instructors and classmates throughout this adventure!
My collection, “Atomic Axiom,” marries the 1950’s Atomic era, the ‘what you see is what you get’ attitude of the punk rock movement, and a dash of gothic architecture as a final twist. I worked to create cohesion by incorporating many of the same fabrics throughout the line, while also allowing each look stand uniquely on its own.
