Designer Bio

Carmen LaChappelle has enjoyed learning a variety of arts throughout her life. She has focused on apparel in the past several years and has especially enjoyed honing her skills in design, textiles, pattern making, custom fit, and ultimately creating unique pieces. She believes that if your clothes fit well, are made well, and the design and fabric reflect your personality, you will wear and cherish them for years to come.

Designer Statement

My collection, “Cocoon,” aims to invoke the feeling of a protective and cozy shell. The primary textile features a quilted silk, and the colors are inspired by the rich palette of sea coral. I have designed unique pieces that are highly structured with clean lines that can be mixed and matched to create a variety of looks. They are particularly suited for special events.
